Co-creating Richer Lives
I imagine a growing network of people continuously enhancing their own unique unfolding story, thereby co-creating a new collective story. This dynamic process ensures we release limiting patterns and beliefs that no longer serve us or the planet; and we consciously create nourishing and enriching beliefs that ensure we live more meaningful and richer lives.

The Planets This Month
Each month a current, major influence will briefly be explored. For example, the planet Uranus, archetype of the revolutionary is currently in Pisces. Pisces is often associated with the ocean and how we are all interconnected – where does each wave begin and end?

No transit or major influence impacts any two people in exactly the same way. With Uranus in Pisces one person may find she has a breakthrough in dealing with an addiction. Another individual may find some new thought or insight blows previously cherished beliefs to smithereens. Somebody else may have very shocking dreams. What about sudden insights how we are all interconnected are coming into your consciousness? How are these radical thoughts breaking apart old belief systems and structures? How are you using these insights to enrich your unique story?

Uranus
Another item to look forward to each month is an educational tidbit. This month we explore a few interesting facts about the planet Uranus. Uranus is the only planet in our solar system that spins anti-clockwise. Does this make him unique and a bit of a rebel? Did you know Uranus was discovered right around the Industrial Revolution, The French Revolution, and The American War of Independence? This seems to support the adage ‘As above, So Below’. Richard Tarnas in Passion of the Western Mind suggests that as our consciousness expands, we find new planets that reflect the new awareness.

Products, Services, and Workshops
The monthly communication will also alert you to any
services or workshops that are on offer to further assist you in living a more conscious and enriching story.

As this is the first newsletter please familiarize yourself with the first series of workshops.

Birthed in a hot tub surrounded by women
Haipule was birthed in a large, circular, red wood natural hot springs tub at sunset under the Big Sur night sky on March 16, 2001. Seven wonderful wemoon brought flowers, incense and candles; sang sacred songs;spoke words of blessing and gave gifts to mark the occassion.

Naming
Haipule is a Hawaiian word which means dreaming a new world into being. Sharon chose this name after reading Serge Kahili's book The Urban Shaman while she lived at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California.

Dreaming a new world into being
Haipule, at present, is experimenting with astrology and writing to fulfil her vision of an expanded, happier, more peaceful, joyful and abundant world.

Vision for Haipule using Astrology:
  • To expand and enrich the unfolding story of individuals, and couples using the mytho-astro collages to anchor new insights.
  • Scan the collages and use technology to conduct and record internet sessions.
  • Work with an agent to transform the collages and concepts into a self empowering game
  • Use the cards to teach the language of astrology to adults, and high school children.
  • Further develop these cards to work with corporations.
  • Develop personalized astro-collages for individuals and couples.

Vision for Haipule through Writing:

  • Understand myself better and dig beneath what I think exists as reality.
  • Complete the course with The Institute of Children's Literature and have my articles, poems and books delight children, and expand their world.
  • Write articles, poems, books and maybe even a screenplay that dreams a more expanded, delightful and abundant world into being.

  • ABOUT HAIPULE
The roots or herstory to Haipule’s visual, interactive astrology

I was brought up in a Christian family who saw astrology as witchcraft. The age of rational material thinking also led me to believe that astrology was superstitious hocus pocus.

All this changed and I celebrate those who have come before me, influenced and expanded my thinking.

In the early 1990’s just after my Saturn return, I first visited an astrologer, Rod Suskin in my native South Africa. Although curious, all I really remember is that he told my friend, Sandy and I that we were karmic sisters; and he told me that if I wanted it, success could be mine, but only when I was ‘older’.

In the mid 1990’s I attended a course, Philosophy, Cosmology and Consciousness at Schumacher College in England. Richard Tarnas, Stan Grof, and Will Keepin led me to see a number of fascinating connections. For example, at the time of the French Revolution, the Industrial Revolution and The American War of Independence, the planet Uranus associated in astrology with unexpected breakthroughs and revolutionary ideas was discovered. The actual moment of birth is also regarded as a Uranus type breakthrough.

The Philosophy, Cosmology and Consciousness course started a massive learning curve. I began to read astrology books avidly, and transformed my ideas about astrology. Here so many astrologers opened new doors for me: Liz Greene, Caroline Casey, Isabel Hickey, Alan Oken, Geoff Woolfe, Pelletier, Sassportas, Sakoian and Acker, and so many more. Astrology became a language, a way of entertaining possibilities and creating meaning, and a way to understand various phases of life.

While I lived at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California from early 1998 to early 2001, the resident astrologer, Sylvia Guersenzvaig designed a mandala and key words to go with each sign and planet. She used these to conduct new moon oracles. Sylvia would provide an overview of the current sky, and would welcome questions. These questions were answered by the attendees, who would speak as if they were the various planets. It fascinated me to track how complex, and yet accurate these dramatizations were.
Thomas, the yoga teacher lent me many books and also introduced me to Captain Universe, who also significantly influenced my thinking. While I lived at Esalen, I began subscribing to The Mountain Astrologer.

When I arrived on Kauai in 2001, I created my own mandala. Instead of using prompt cards with words, I created collages of pictures and words that incorporated all my associations with the various hows, whats and wheres of an astrological, mythological frame of reference. From as early as 2001, I began facilitating astro-counseling sessions with individuals and couples.

Haipule's vision for the future includes:
  • To work with individuals and couples in person to enable them to understand and enrich their unfolding story using the language of astrology.
  • Scan the collages so that internet clients can access the cards.
  • Using these cards to teach the language of astrology to adults, and high school children.
  • Further developing these cards to work with corporations.
  • Working with an agent to transform the collages and concepts into a game.
  • Develop personalized astro-collages for individuals and couples.

    ABUNDANCE indicators in ASTROLOGY

When asked about abundance, there are a number of indicators or road signs on astrology maps. The Sun, Venus, and Jupiter and their partners merit attention. The second house of how we sustain ourselves is also important.

To illustrate these, let's explore Sharon's atrological abundance indicators. A synopsis using the language of associations follows.

Being a Cancerian means the capacity for making money comes from Sharon's instinctive understanding of what people need or want. By creativily caring for, and nourishing her tribe, she sustains herself. Further analysis paints a picture of someone who loves being involved with people in learning and experiencing what is 'new' and 'outside the box', as well as what comes from our ancient feminine tribal roots. While appreciating the past, Sharon's inner gambling, ever expansive and truth seeking Uncle sometimes shocks Sharon into the future with his sudden amazing insights. He loves spreading these new insights to others, and this often involves taking risks. Assisting Uncle closely is Sharon's inner task master, Saturn. Saturn brings discipline, responsibility and good planning. Allowing this inner rule-maker space is essential to achieve abundance, as Uncle has the tendency to be too idealistic and self indulgent since he is also in cohorts with the inner dreamer and shape-shifter, Neptune. The resulting optimism attracts abundant support and wealth, especially through partners. However, staying focused and remembering to commit to priorities is critical for success that only comes with balancing the 'being' and the 'doing'.

From Jan 1999 to Feb 2012, transiting Neptune creates subtle shifts in how Sharon sustains herself. Beliefs that no longer serve her dissolve. This process creates vagueness with its nebulous boundaries. Cultivating trust and her connection to all, is critical. This will allow her to receive serendipitously through dreams and synchronicities. She needs to use her imagination to explore what abundance really means to her, and her tribe. This is especially true in 2006 and 2007 when dreaming a new reality into being: Haipule unfolds more concretely. Researching astrology and mythology and passing this on through astrology sessions and writing is a worthwhile endeavor given all the indicators.
